Yeah, he mostly does Mopar but I like him. I would have liked to see a high rpm pull. Plus hard to say what the compression actually is and what was done to the heads, I believe the owner said a 2.07" intake valve. Didn't the Dave's who worked at Oldsmobile said 350 HP at higher rpm? You would think it would make that with full length headers. It did make the factory claimed HP number, slightly short on torque.

I remember one of the Daves saying the GM claim of 325 hp @ 5400 RPM was accurate, but it kept making power above that - 360 hp just before 6000 RPM, I think.

Olds looks to have definitely advertised the W31 on the money. Vintage road tests confirm HP as well... Car Life's road test of a 69 shows 270 HP net. Junker to Thumper showed all accessories eat 43 HP on an old school V8 and then add the header gain...
