I found this while browsing oldsmobile. I see the purists here getting mad about clones and running chevy engines in Oldsmobiles, Look at this one here is a new twist on what is not really Oldsmobile.

This is cool, if it were 1960 this guy would be a car show circuit icon and would be rubbing 600 grit on multi coats of Dupont clear with George Barris to get ready for the Oakland roadster show. So this is worse than Chip Foose bastardizing cars for the sake of the MTV crowd ?

I can understand wanting an Oldsmobile convertible of that era, however that is a lot of money for a fake that still needs $$$$ to be complete. It obviously wouldn't be purchased by an investor. Anyone who buys it for fun has to look at resale. At minimum $12K to buy and possibly another $20K to get it road/show worthy, you're still driving a Chev. For that kind of money you can buy a real Olds that is in pretty decent condition and drive it while you slowly make it even better. JMO
