70 CS hazard flasher **** and E-brake release lever

Hey there.

Already posted to the noob section, but I think heres the right place:

I have two questions regarding E-brake release lever and hazard flasher **** - both of which are missing in my 70 cutlass supreme...

Brake release lever (image #1):

* Is this a GM screw-on T-handle or is it molded to the metal rod?

All I can see is a rest of plastic and some epoxy. Screw-on handles are available here in Germany, but I'd have to order the complete assembly with rod in the US.

Hazard flasher **** (image #2 nd #3):

Mine is missing. There seem to exist two different GM versions:

A) the chrome ones that are screwed in directly
B) the pastic one that has a little nose - apparently to fix it in a position where the text can be read - and seems to be fastened with a center screw.

* Does my steering column look as if only the **** is missing or is something broken?
* What size of thread is that center screw?
* Which one was originally used in my 70 CS?

The black plastic seems right, the little nose looks like it's a perfect match.

Thanks!

Can't help you on the E-brake.
The little chrome button should
be correct for your 70 though.
The threads look stripped from
the photo. Maybe why it is missing?

Looking at some of the parts suppliers, the e-brake handle is glued/epoxied
on.

Hazard is chrome on my 70 Supreme! The thread pitch is 6-32 NC

The e-brake handle is actually pressed on. The end of the metal rod has splines that cut into the plastic handle when you press it on to retain it.

OK that makes sense I looked at mine quickly and didn't realize the splines weren't angle like threads but could you not get a screw on one

As for the brake release handle:

It arrived today but I was too much of a ***** to press it on - I thought it might crack because of the tight fit.

Tapped an European "M6" thread onto the splined rod and into the plastic handle (you see the tight fit it would have been without thread) and screwed it on. Bingo.

Still waiting for my hazard flasher **** though...
