A new guy with a 68 Cutlass Convertable
Greetings,
I am new at this forum thing bit I'll jump right in.
I am now renovating/reconditioning the interior on my garaged '68 Cutlass convertable that I've mostly neglected over the last 20 years while raising two beautiful daughters and finally getting them through college.
The original interior color that includes carpet seats, door panels, arm rests, boot cover etc. is mostly ivy gold and that has not presented much of a problem as I have repainted the interior pieces with the appropriate interior vinyl/plastic painting product but what I am not sure of are the upper dash pieces and windshield moldings that are more of an avocado color.
Because there are a few cracks on my upper dash, I am looking to purchase a dash shell cover that only comes in the color black.
I'd like it to be close to correct when painting the dash shell and maybe look to repaint the matching window moldings but would like to know and use the correct color.
Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome !
many of the colored interiors showed different colors or shades on the original
cars... golds ... greens ... etc .... on the different plastics and padded items ...
sun also effects the color and age ..... I am sure someone else here has
pictures of their green interior to help you get your colors dialed in ...
glad your back out in the garage !! dont forget to post pictures it helps alot !!

Welcome to this site - the best Olds site going, in my opinion! Lots of '68-'69 Olds A-body people here that can help you throughout your renovation.
Wish I could help you on the colors but both of mine are black - a much easier color to deal with!
Enjoy and post some pics when you can!
