Header Clarification

Can anyone give me a general idea if these headers go with a 350 or 455? I wasn't able to locate a part number. The only number I was able to find was 029. I don't want to get rid of these as I am putting in a 455 and it would help save a few bucks.

455 or 350 headers?

Can anyone please tell me if the headers above would bolt up to a 350 or a 455? They look exactly like a pair that I've seen on the board that came off of a 455.

To the best of my knowledge the headers are almost the same with the 455 having a bit longer down tubes and more of an angle at the engine flange to compensate to for the higher deck. If you still have the engine on a stand attach the headers and the starter. If the headers are 455 there should be about 1" of clearance about 3" they are 350.
This is only a rough test and it has been a long time since I've been under an Oldsmobile.

Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to tell just by looking at them. As noted, the difference is in the deck height. Unless you have a set of SBO and BBO headers side-by-side, it's hard to see the differences.

Thanks for the info. I actually have a set of sbo hooker headers and I put them side by side it the pictured headers don't really fit on the sbo I have.
