How difficult was removal pf the old padded section. And re-installation of the new one?

Removing the old dash, gauges and lower portion was a PIA. Haven't yet re-installed it. The new wiring will be first.

All labeled up, and (almost) ready to start connecting it to the gauges/dash, under hood/engine, and front and rear lights!

Guys,
Some wiring and dash updates. First pic is showing the alignment tape markings for the harness attachment behind the dash. Second, is where the fuse box will live in the glove box for easy access. Last, is the lower dash with the bright 'Chrome' for the key, headlight, wiper switches, etc.

Dash pad fix. I ground off the cracked, and broken areas of the molded top portion. Epoxied the inner glass injected 'frame' on the broken/cracked portions.

Installed from the front angle. I will let the glue cure for 24 hours, do some clean up, and start re-attaching the gauges!

Looking good from here! What did you use to bond the cover to the old vinyl?

Didn't you use a new padded dash section?

Guys,
I used windshield bond agent to set the re-po dash cover onto the original old pad. This type of glue stays semi flexible so that from the heat and cold it won't crack.

Still a work in progress! Soldering connectors is time consuming none the less. Once finished, and cleaned up, it will be worth it!

Getting the dash wiring finished. Installing the oil pressure, water temp, and volt gauges where the radio once lived. My goal is to make it look OEM as possible. Pictures soon of the completed work.
