Seat release button-HELP!

I am a newbie, which feels good to say at my somewhat advanced age. I recently bought a '72 Cutlass Supreme drop-top and am doing a few repairs. I need to remove the driver's bucket seat cover (top) and am stuck with how to remove the chrome trim that surrounds the seat release in the center of the seat back. I can see screws under the trim when I pry on it, but I really don't want to damage it. Any clues out there? Thanks much- Jon

There are two tabs, one on each side. There's a recent thread on this but it seems to me the best way was to slide a putty knife (or two) into each side & it will pop off

Right...I agree use a putty knife or 2 to get at the clips. I like to put masking tape or duct tape on the seat back along side the chrome to limit scratching and flaking damage. White is the worst for that.
