1968 Old 98 single wire alternator
I am replacing on my 1968 Olds 98 convertible the alternator and the voltage regulator with a single wire alternator from Proform.66430.16N. My question is that with the single wire, there is no connection to the GEN light on the dash board. Is there a way to hook up this GEN light so it works with the single wire alternator.

Yeah, return the one-wire alternator and get a correct three wire version, which plugs in. Why do people waste money on one-wire crap?
Alternately, you can keep the one-wire alternator and pay ANOTHER $40 for the voltage sense module that replaces the function that was built into your car for free from the factory...

You may prefer the simplicity of the 1 wire alt, but long ago Joe posted instructions for converting your era alt to the later (and great) 10SI / 12SI alternators which were internally regulated.
The conversion instructions are here on CO and I’ve done it to both of my 66 big cars to great effect. I’ve always thought of the 1 wire alternators as a “clean look” hot rod or custom car thing.
