75 Cutlass - Fuel Tank Rubber Gas Lines Sizes

Before I get into replacing the rubber gas flex lines between the tank and frame I would like to know the sizes of them?
Also when I drop the tank , is there anything else I should do when I have the tank off?
Not looking forward to it.
New steel lines gas another year.
Thanks
Jeff

If it's the original one, replace the fuel gauge sending unit. Even if what's currently in there works, it's almost 50 years old. The only thing worse than having to drop the tank once is having to drop it twice.

As far as the rubber lines, they're no big deal. Drop the tank, remove the lines, and take them with you to the auto parts store to make sure you get exactly the sizes and lengths you need. I've done that for every tank I've dropped for any reason, and I've done it on three different cars now.

Thanks I Will do the sending unit. Might as well clean up the outside as well. Did you paint or rubber coat it (Rocker Guard?

I'm not sure what you mean. Paint or rubber coat what? The fuel tank? I didn't do anything to the new tanks I put in. Just put them in as-received.

My tank is original, when I remove it for the rubber lines, im going to put in a new sending unit, and new straps.
I thought while it is out, why not clean the exterior for visual purposes and then coat or paint, not sure.
I see they list 2 different types of sending units, 2 hose or 3 hose. I think I have a 2 hose system, unless one is hidden above the tank.

I would wait until you have dropped the tank and can see the sending unit in person to verify how many lines it has. Then order the matching replacement.
