Throttle Cable - New Repro Inline Tube w/mods

Here is a new Inline Tube-made repro carb throttle cable with a modification I made to it to give it the correct carb end attachment.

Made for '70-72 Cutlass, F85, 442, Wcars, Supreme 350 AND 455 4 barrel cars (wagons included).

>These throttle cables come with an incorrect smaller metal tab on the carb end that doesn't utilize the factory original sleeve/rubber grommet setup. As such, these repro cables have metal-to-metal contact where the cable end tab mounts on the carb throttle linkage stud...not a good idea.

>I removed the incorrect repro small tab and solidly attached an original Olds cable end.

>Also included is a correct repro specially made thin rubber grommet, the thin metal washer and hairpin cotter for retention on the carb linkage stud and a inner plastic sleeve that I made. This duplicates the factory setup and makes for a nice smooth action between the cable end and the carb linkage.

New...not used, etc. Test fitted on a loose carb linkage end.

Thanks for the good comments all. This is just an "extra extra" I had around here (seems to happen a lot!...that's what you get when you buy parts at events, make orders, buy more parts at more events...on and on). Trying to make some room around here and winnow down the inventory of stuff I know I'll likely never need. If I don't do that then I'll just start assembling a spare car in my living room from all this "extras of extras" stuff and then I'll have a big issue of how to get the damn thing outside! I guess that would be the perfect excuse to knock out a wall for some remodeling in the house so maybe I should stick with that plan.

With that said it's "sold pending payment" to StickW31 and I'll work my way down the list of interested parties if anything falls through.

Thanks

With the cost of getting the cable, your time, and the added pieces,I can't see how you could make more at that price. What would it cost to order the correct part from you?
