Will GMC motorhome bearings fit the Toronado knuckles? Supposedly the only modification made to the Toro knuckle to fit onto a motorhome is to ream out the lower ball joint bore to accept the larger motorhome ball joint. There is no mention on if this is the big bearing that is used on the early knuckles, or the smaller bearing used on later Toronados. Perhaps someone who is more in the know than myself can tell. The OD on the bearing is 3.250". I do not have an early and late knuckle to measure to see what the difference is.

Toro Front Wheel Bearings
Hi Andrew
I'm not a Toro expert by any means but I thought the front wheel bearings were more like CV joints as the new front wheel drive cars are. Attached is a photo of a drive axle I removed from a 1969 Toro and I thought the 66-67 used the same setup. John

New front wheel drive cars have the wheel bearings/hub sold as a unit, and are typically held into the knuckle by a few bolts.
The Toronado CV shaft passes through the knuckle. The hole that is passes through is the ID of the wheel bearing. Here is a picture of the back of a spare knuckle that I have. You can see the toothed part of the CV shaft passes all the way through the knuckle to the toothed inside hub.
