hey guys im trying to figure out which line on my 72 cutlass is the pressure side without making a mess with hoses, I need to hookup a cooler and need to know! tranny is a turbo 350, on tranny is it top or bottom line, any help would be appr. thanks

The bottom line is the output side I believe. But it won't make ant difference which way round you put them.

thanks roger, I was going off of the directions with my cooler, it shows it routing through the radiator then out to cooler then back to tranny,, it makes sense to me to do it this way, the radiator would cool fluid somewhat then cool it even more before sending it back, I am running a 3500 stall so I just thought I would do it this way, thanks

The trans cooler flow will exit from the top to keep the cooler filled.
If the car will be driven in lower than desert temperatures, I'd plumb the radiator trans cooler after an air to oil cooler, so that the oil can be warmed before returning to the pan.

X2 what Dad says here. Its important to maintain proper operating temp. Too cool is somewhat as bad as too hot (unless in the desert). By plumbing it this way you're better able to maintain its preferred op temp range and increase the transmissions over all life expectancy.

I endorse this too, as does the fitting instructions on the various aftermarket coolers I have fitted.
